REUNITE Reggie Bush & Alex Smith in 2011??

Jeff Duncan of the New Orleans Times-Picayune is no longer confident that Reggie Bush will remain with the Saints for the 2011 season.

Bush's salary cap figure stands at $16 million. The Saints won't pay that, so he's essentially a free agent -- one of more than 25 that GM Mickey Loomis will have to address. Although coach Sean Payton "definitely" wants Bush back, Duncan believes Loomis' hands will be tied due to the salary cap. The bottom line is that Bush is likely to land a richer contract from another club. Jun 24, 10:54 AM

-Bush should be a great change of pace back with Gore & Hunter

Would really LOVE to have him in SF.... but the addition of Hunter makes it harder to see as being a reality. Not gonna cross him off my wish-list, but not gonna get excited with expectation either.
Cant see it happening. Would be nice tho as a jack of all trades kinda guy.
I'd take Bush over Dixon in a heart beat

Bush and Dixon are completely different running backs. I dont even think Bush would be useful to us, Hunter and Gore are both good receivers out of the back field, and Hunter has Reggie Bush-like quickness.

I think Bush would be a waste of money, Id rather spend our money at a position we really need

Bush would be our best receiver on the field. With having the mismatch weapons of VD and lesser extent Walker, Bush could shift out to the slot or outside and crucify whatever safety or LB that trailed him.

Certainly just opinion, but a backfield of Bush and Gore would own. Move Bush all around and watch what the D does. It forces opponents to get out of their base D. If they do that, Gore will run wild... if they stay in base? Then VD, Bush, and others will have remarkable mismatches to exploit in the pass game.
