We don't need another Veteran RB.
Gore is going to carry the load
Dixon will be our power/short yard running back
and Hunter will be our change of pace back, give him a few carries a game cause he has play making ability.

Don't think there's need for another running back.
You can't be serious with this. clinton portis? This guy hasn't been good for bout 3 years now. He's always hurt, puts himself above the team, throws coaching staff and other players under the bus publicly, he doesn't practice, and takes himself out of games after one run. no way

he is one of the best blocking RB's in the leauge and will provide vet leadership

veteran leadership and portis in the same sentence is the funniest thing ever. please find a redskin fan and ask him about leadership and portis and i guarantee they start laughing. Like last off season he went on radio and threw Jason Campell under the bus. Or him constantly calling sports talk radio and getting into public disputes with lavar arrington and brain mitchell. The guy brings no leadership at all. Now he can block. But dude brings way too much baggage in the locker room and is always looking for a way to get through by doing the least amount of work. Maybe he's ready to work hard b/c he knows he's at the end of his career, but his more bad then good at this stage in his career.

This.

Our Vet RB is Gore, or maybe Mr. Rathman the coach.
Can't go wrong with getting a solid vet rb for a backup. Willis mcgahee comes to mind. Who sayd we can't have 4 rb's. Times are changing. Injuries happen a lot more so it makes sense. Gore had the potential to always miss a handful of games.
We're good at the RB position. Besides if this season goes downhill I've got a hunch that it won't be because of RB play
i agree, we can't go wrong with another vet hb, but i think it'll really hurt the growth of our two promising backs. i'd stay put

Clinton Portis is a locker room guy. He was just a disgruntled player with Washington and who could blame him? If you are looking for a 4th guy just as a vet presence he is not the worst guy to bring in. Alot of people thought westbrook was done. You don't have to be on your teamates balls to provide leadership.
