Larry Fitzgerald is a FA in 2012

so we all know who Larry plays for....CArdinals. and given most predictions i believe the cardinals are looking for another season of bad quarterbacking and bad football. this is something that Fitzgerald has been putting up with since Warner left so maybe he mite want a change of scenery...maybe a scenery with more gold in it?

what do u guys think? any chance niners could land him in 2012? we would be the final piece to our offense given that Alex Smith or Kaepernick shine in 2011 or 2012

seems a little premature. we have no idea what a CBA may look like, if there will be franchise tags or not. there is a chance he never sees the open market until he's too old to be of any real value to us.

its in Fitz's deal that he can not be franchised. Minus agreeing to a new deal with AZ, he WILL be a FA in 2012. Fitz will be 28 this year,

3/11/2008: Signed a four-year, $40 million contract w/NTC. The deal contains $30 million guaranteed, including a $15 million signing bonus, and a $9 million option bonus and $3.1 million roster bonus in the second year. If Fitzgerald is franchise tagged in 2012, he must be paid $23 million that season. 2011: $7 million, 2012: Free Agent
i think they would franchise him at the very least

i too think he returns to Arizona, especially if they get Kolb, but i also agree. They draft either Barkley or Jones. I also pray to the good lord they have no shot at Luck.

I didnt read anything in this thread but the title, but please tell me that there arent people thinking he would come to the Niners.

After the circumstances he went through during his career in Az, please believe he will be signing somewhere that has a good quarterback. Obviously, that wont be here.

In 2012, who knows. Why do you think the team wanted Harbaugh so badly?
