Youth movement at QB please. Would rather have potential fight it out. Even Alex Maybe if we actually have a better pass blocking team this yr he will be better. Maybe not. but still No to Bulger.

I think that adding Bulger under the circumstances would be a good move because of the lockout. If Alex Smith Struggles Bulger can step right in and perform. I really think that Kapernick should watch for a year and not be thrown to the wolves. Sitting would definetly help him.

He really hasn't played much for two years.

maybe he's over the shell-shock by now. If he is what he was when he left the Rams, he's one more hit away from the Jim Everett Ghost Sack.

People thought the same thing about Kurt Warner.
Just sayin'....

I hear you, but I don't remember Warner seeming as psychologically broken. He got hurt (in a Martz system? What!?) and Bulger did a good job as his replacement, so they went with the younger option. Warner wasn't great for the Giants, but I didn't get the sense that it was because he was scared in the pocket. Bulger got beat up so bad for so long that he might not make it back.

True. Warner was a warrior. Don't know about Bulger. I kinda want to see him get a shot somewhere so I can find out now.

Funny how players the 9ers are interested are considering retirement, wonder if it is just coincidental.

Yes. We are, allegedly, interested in aging veterans to serve as a stopgap. These guys are close to retirement anyway, and potentially don't want to put their bodies through any more of a beating.
