Plaxico Burress to be released on Good Behavior

So considering the improbable Vick turn-around, what are the thoughts on bringing in Plaxico?

Cons... he's 33, out of the league for 2 years and could still be having maturity issues.

Pros... if he has stayed in shape (could be a big if), he's huge, stretches the field (great for our running WCO), has great hands and will most likely be pretty cheap until he proves he can still play.

Whoever our QB is, Plax is a huge target and that is never a bad thing. Now that a precedent has been set that players can come back from prison and be successful, why shouldn't we roll the dice if we can get him on the cheap.

sign him to a 1 year just like the eagles did with vick
That'd be a real shot in the arm for our team.

Too soon?

I would too. If he pans out great, if he doesn't no harm done. I mean it's a stupid law, and he got caught being stupid. He's an idiot for shooting himself, but he's not like vick, he wasn't a star qb looked up to and then caught murdering puppies for sport!

So you think he has a good shot at making an impact for this team?

And that Baalke should go ahead pull the trigger on that deal?

Because, honestly, I'm kinda worried that by picking up a guy like Plax we might be shooting ourselves in the foot.....

From what I remember hearing, he wants to be a Giant and the Giants want him back.
