Now that the raiders signed seymore it looks like they could use the franchise tag on nmandi. Also the broncos want champ back and they could always use the tag on him as well. This sucks. If we draft von miller and dont get patrick petersen......we may have to draft prince.
What are the best available fa cbs left after chanp and nmandi? I guess cromartie would be the best. I was really looking forward to trying to get nmandi. Does this chap anyone elses backside?
Who would you want assuming we cant get bailey or nmandi?

but he cant be franchised because he wasnt a FA because his contract expired he was basically cut and players who were cut cant be frachised
bottom line: he is a FA and cant be franchised by the raiders

While I'm far from an expert, I believe if he was cut then he is free to sign with any club. Only those who were to become FA at the end of the league year can't be signed when the CBA expires Mar 3.
bottom line: he is a FA and cant be franchised by the raiders

his deal voided, but is techincally a Raider still, until a CBA is agreed upon, he is a raider.

Nnamdi isn't signing here though. We will be choosing(if we pass up Peterson or Prince) between signing Jonathon Joseph(really good), Cromartie(pretty good), or Richard Marshall(decent). Or there's guys like Josh Wilson and Chris Carr who are decent but not great.

im pretty sure it was built into his contract that if he chose to void the contract the raiders would not be allowed to tag him. so its not possible for them to retain him unless he decides to sign with them again

Yeah and they will probably be cleaning house pretty soon as far as the roster goes. Not sure they will pay big bucks for a CB like him.

They could, but doubt they'll pay him top-5 CB salary - he's good but not THAT good and the Bengals aren't known for overpaying (or paying for that matter).
