But Chad Pennington could be a decent stop gap option... I know i Know old and injuries. But know that he is the most accurate passer of all time. Highest completion percentage ever. If his surgery went and heals well, he could come in for a year and coach up our newbie. WCO is about accuracy, and being smart, pennington is both. If I am right every year he was healthy he lead his team to the playoffs... Plus he has no contract next year so getting him should be easy and cheap! I didnt see a post on him hope there hasnt been one

IF he is healthy, I am not opposed to this idea at all. He could be a good mentor and he has always been a good leader. I'm quite sure Harbaugh would be cool with it too. It's just that his being healthy enough to play is a pretty big IF.....just saying.

Wait, let me get this straight, some of you would rather have Pennington, a guy who has a LOOOONG history of multiple injuries to his throwing arm and 1 hit from being sent into retirement IF he can even make it back from this last injury, but want no parts of McNabb, a very capable QB who had an off year? Logic please?

Pennington all of a sudden is this great QB that would make us better? Based on what? In the last 2 years he's played 4 games. Jake Delhomme is a better option than Pennington. Even at full strength and at his best with the Jets, Pennington was slightly above average with only 1 really good season with the Jets and only 1 good season 3 years ago with the Dolphins. Revisionists history strikes again.

I'm no big McNabb fan, but the likelihood that he can return to some form of serviceability is much more likely than Pennington and his busted shoulder. Come on people? Really? Pennington?

Heck NO!!!! 4 shoulder surgeries on his throwing shoulder!! No way! Did you see the last injury happen? Almost nothing happened and it tore AGAIN!! While trying to dump a screen pass, he fell into his own lineman. Ouch!

I'd take a shot at him. Probably wouldn't be that expensive and would a great mentor towards our rookie QB (Stanzi, Dalton, etc.)
