Nnamdi Asomugha
Champ Bailey
Marcus Spears
Mathias Kiwanuka
Steve Smith (NY)
Santonio Holmes
Sidney Rice
James Jones
My dream offseason would be signing Asomugha, Spears, and either one of those receivers.

Marcus Spears -
Quinten Mikel -
Mathias Kiwanuka -
Lawan Landrey -
Paul Pulonsky -
Chad Greenway -
On offense
Mike Tolbert -
Michael Bush -Bush and Gore in the backfield
Mat Light
Steve smith - NY-
Braylon Edwards
Santonio Holmes
Sydey Rice - I would love to see the Name RICE on a 9er jersey if it isnt the OG

I'd love to see us lock up Franklin, Baas, Spikes, Westbrooke, Goldston 1st.
Franklin and Spikes are HUGE for our run D which is one of the best in the NFL. Although Goldston didn't have a huge year he's a good young talent and should be a RFA and we should keep him. Baas did a nice job and fits coach Harbaughs type of offensive lineman. He and Goldston should be RFA and easy to retain.
Before we look at breaking the bank for any of the FAs on the list we need to keep that core on the team. The 9ers are a QB and a better secondary away/passrush away from being a contender. The 1st round takes care of 1 of those and we should be able to sign/trade for the other 2 if we're smart.
Harbaugh/Baalke are smart if you heard Trent today on KNBR he knows we need some help in the secondary, OLB and QB. There is talent on this team especially the D and I don't think we should break the bank for anything other than a QB until we have that QB and our own FA core back that should be our main priority.
After we solve the QB problem (hopefully with Orton and a 2nd/3rd round pick) I pray we can get Prince at #7 and sign a top end passrusher Lamar Woodley being our only big FA coup would be fine w/me.
We can get a RG reasonably cheap in FA or later in the draft that and a QB is all the O needs the playmakers are there. No reason to spend big on a FA like S.Rice we have Gore/VD/Crabtree and Harbaugh!

Something tells me Harbaugh will want to keep Smith Especially with all the uncertainty

Yeah after all that scandal about overpaying Nate , I doubt the 9ers will overpay for a CB. I would rather use top money on DT and DE and have some "good" CB's like the other top tier Defenses.
Nate Clements wasnt ever as good as Nnamdi. even in his dreams. Nnamdi is young, and people just ignore his side of the field, people go after clements all day long. a defensive coordinator who doesnt have to worry about a whole side of the field for the most part can be very effective in pressuring the qb and getting everything else covered to force turnovers.

I think we will make a big splash. Wishfull thinking? Most definately!
After all, what do have left. Be grumpy if you must. There is a good game on Superbowl Sunday. I see alot of open spaces on our roster and alot of eager vets who would not mind shaking our piggy bank up. With plenty of cap room, the 49ers have plenty to shake.
