Yeah, I'll edit the thread. I'm not 100% sure he said serious.

Lol It's all good I was just giving you a hard time. You see the new tweet by lombardi saying were in it right now with the jets?

No, I didn't catch that. Nice to know we're in the hunt, though.

Don't let me down Harbaugh

Nnamdi doesn't want to leave Raj Mathai hanging. He'll sign with us

ESPN insider just posted that we are the most serious competition with the Jets for Nnamdi. With the Texans a distant third.

Personally, I think he's using us to drive up the Jet's price, but they can only afford to pay so much after resigning Holmes.

Maybe we have a shot.
If ever we needing Nolan now is the time one helicopter ride and he's ours him and Nate the great equal division and bye bye Larry ftirzgerald
I know hes goood, but how long is he going to be good he is 30. I would personally cut clements and not resign goldson. Use the money to sign Joseph (27 and less expensive) and Weddle (same age as Goldson prob a little more expensive but better).

Frank would probably be so happy to see him, he'd let use his number!!!
ESPN and Clayton are just jacking up the price on him.

More teams interested = More $$$$$$$

Woodson was just the defensive MVP and he's a fossil. Asomugha is a better player than woodson was just before he signed with the Pack

charles woodson left the raider at 30 and look at him now a defensive mvp and sb champion

So, Clayton did say we're serious. I'm going to edit the thread again to reflect the comformation.

Good point. Then again, Charles Woodson is 34 and still going strong. Sometimes elite CB's have staying power... but I agree that it would probably be better to spread the money around and fill multiple holes.
Sign him already what's taking so long

John Clayton reports on Mike and Mike, saying we could sneak in and sign him at the last minute.

I wish but I doubt that. Especially if we get Goldson. I don't see why unless he just likes living in the bay area. Clayton also said we had might get Hassleback

that was steve young

on yesterdays SC clayton said hasselbackw ill go to tenn arizona or vikings

ayway i really hope we get namdi but it would take a miracle 20 teams can and will want to get him (other 12 have salary cap problems)

So neither one of them know wtf they're talking about. Half the teams in the league are INTERESTED in signing Nnamdi. It would be very nice to get him, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

not happening. put your cocks away.

well said.

I wouldn't pull it out even if we did sign him. Is he a great corner ? Yes. Top 2 in the NFL ? Likely.

However he is 30 years old. Is he going to have a Charles Woodson longevity or is he going to begin to hit his downside sooner than later ? Also this is a guy who has almost exclusively played RCB (which is QB's blindside). Will he remain on the right ? Will he play at the same level on the left if moved over ? Is he going to be worth the likely hefty price tag ?

I wouldn't be mad if we did sign him, however there are a few legit concerns. I just don't want this team to grossly overpay for a corner when we could likely land 2 or 3 lesser pieces that might prove to be more valuable as a whole than one great corner. Is Nnamdi really going to put us over the top and complete a defense that still appears to have question marks in a few areas ? Not completely convinced of that.

Finally somebody is talkin english around here this team blows what the hell can Nnamdi do for us hes good and all but we are not 1 piece away more like 16 peices away. Its time to destroy and rebuild and thats what they are doing.
