Troy will be a sufficient tackling dummy while a new HC grooms a rookie.

I'd much rather sign Carson Palmer. Assuming he gets cut of course

Hire a West-Coast Offense Coach (likely), draft a quarterback in the first three rounds, and cross our fingers Hasselbeck stays healthy for a whole season.
I really see this as a possibility with either Holmgren, Gruden, Shurmur, or Harbaugh as Head Coach.

It'd be fun to watch him practice his sliding against Willis, though.
you mean by week 1 after chila rachel lets someone bull rush him and break old man hasselbeck's hip

there's zero reason we'd want him starting tho...
I don't even know if he is gonna be in the league next year, he is out with another back injury.

Yeah sure, he could be our starter. That would last until the opening day of training camp, when Patrick Willis brushes past him in the locker room - and puts him on IR.

for the people saying no to Hasslebeck and that they would rather have alex, Hasslebeck is one of the most fundamentally sound qbs in the nfl and he understands the game, he is a perfect teacher if we go WCO. He understands the WCO and all the mechanics a qb needs to run it. So stop letting your hatred for a team take away the importance of bringing in someone who can mentor a young qb and be a second qb coach. I could careless where a potential niner played as long as he can help the team.

Nope, too beat up at this point. If he was healthier, I would say yes without hesitation.
