I mean there was a reason Philly got rid of Mcnabb, and now the Redskins are, so lets do ourselves a favor and pass.
What sloppy seconds are you referring to ? Besides Troy Smith, every disaster of a QB on this roster since has been a disaster in the making of our own accord. I wouldnt count Dilfer or Hill, as it is now clear that the Niners will willing to do whatever it takes to give Alex as little competition as possible. The only one that saw this was Martz, who didnt even want to give the guy a chance.......and we all know what Niner brass did with him........

Based on this year's stats only (and not by much), one can make that argument. Career-wise, you're smoking crack from your bung-hole if you believe that.

It should be said that mcNabb is throwing to an over the hill Santana Moss, 39 year old Joey Galloway and undrafted Anthony Armstrong. Cooleys decent but had been injured. Im not giant McNabb fan but Washington as a team is more of the problem that just mcNabb,. The guy can still win games and would be a good addition,

Let some other team (hopefully Arizona) make the mistake of paying McNabb a lot of money for mediocre play and choking in big games. I'll never forget his shameful performance at the end of the Super Bowl. I don't want a QB so out of shape he can't run a no huddle offense.

i just get that odd feeling that crabtree and VD would have career years with McNabb. I say sign him he's better than Carson Palmer

Of the three you name, Gore is the only dependable receiver. Crabtree still runs sloppy routes and doesn't work back to the QB when a pattern breaks down. VD is a big name but unreliable under blitz and pressure situations.
McNabb is a guy who has absorbed a lot of hits and slowed down more quickly than normal. His accuracy was very poor the past two years.
His supporters are in love with who he USED TO BE and are overlooking what he has become.
He might be willing to come here but we should not expect the guy he was in Philly when he had Pat Shurmur and Andy Reid designing the offense just for him. Those days ended three years ago.

Would be all for signing him and drafting a rookie to develop behind him.

Steve young supposedly said on KNBR(according to Eric Branch) that McNabb was dumped by Shanahan because of a poor work ethic and he wasn't taking things seriously enough. He said Shanahan wouldn't do that to a guy who was working hard.
