the best cover guy is spencer who is solid but not all world and nate could still have his lockdown moments as bump n run corner but gets harder when ya cant run like ya were once able to. i like others would like to see him at FS but idk know if thats gonna happen either, he has said in the past that he would rather stay a CB. who's to say that he would be a good FS anyway? isnt one of the primary concerns that there isn't enough speed on the back end? nate likes to look in the backfield and is one of the more aggressive db's in the league, will/would these qualities help or hurt? biting on a double move when your the last line of D aint a good thing...not having the range to get over the top on a consistent basis is not a good thing.
as for goldson, i just don't think hes the answer at FS imho. he just cant get over the top; i still think he takes bad angles, and all though he's a thumper he doesn't secure the tackle as often as i would like. i don't remember any glaring bad plays when put 1v1 coverage so idk. he may be better suited for SS because he does have some ball skill and man coverage ability that could however lead to problems for...
mays......fill in the reasons why..... im getting tired of typing.
this is the first season smith got some real playing time so i guess the jury still out but my .02 cents is i just thought that he didn't do anything to distinguish himself form the pack
.ya ya ya scheme makes a world of difference. still think they need more bodies to push the best players to the top too
