so true. i mean im against animal cruelty, but our society is so obsessed with animals, that we make a bigger deal out of dog fighting than we do a human being getting killed. Mike Vick is hated by the entire country for what he did, but Donte Stallworth and Leonard Little kill human beings driving drunk, and they go to jail for like 4 months and go right back into the NFL and nobody says crap.
true

but stallworth and little made mistakes. Vick happily killed and tortured dogs,. It wasnt a mistake.

ray lewis happily stabbed two people to death with his homeboys and was the superbowl MVP and one of the most respected players in the game, if he stabbed a dog he would be crucified.

Making stuff up?

Yeah, you don't know that he was happy about it.

Stallworth and Little ended human lives. not a dog, a human. they killed someones father, son, brother, etc. they got drunk and drove. not a "mistake", a specific choice of action that ended up killing somebody.

what Vick did was sick, and wrong, but to try and compare it do being a total idiot and killing another person is ridiculous. if someone killed your father driving drunk, you wouldnt say "they just made a mistake."

my whole point is that its disturbing that in this country people get more offended when someone fights dogs than if they killed another person. as far as public opinion goes, Mike Vick wouldve been better off driving drunk and killing another person than running that dog fighting ring, which is what baffles me.

Calm down.

One person sat down and planned to watch two animals tearing each other to pieces for enjoyment.

One person stupidly drank too much and even more stupidly, drove.

The results were as you describe, and I don't argue with what you say about that. But can you not see the difference between a pre-planned piece of viciousness and the unplanned results of mindless stupidity?

I hope you can. Note I do not evaluate one against the other.

Yeah, you don't know that he was happy about it.

Last time I checked, he was not found guilty of killing anyone. He did cover up for his friends and was found guilty of obstruction of justice.

and michael jackson didnt touch little boys, roethlisberger didnt rape chicks. i understand. money talks my friend, if your accused once it could be a wrongful accusation, if your accused multiple times something is wrong.

the point isnt which is more sickening, its the fact that in the public eye, Mike Vick wouldve been better off driving drunk and killing a person, than fighting those dogs. Thats what bothers me.
Vick took WAY too many hits last night. If he keeps that up there's no way he lasts the rest of the season.

but the reason why the dogfighting is worse in the public eye is because its more sickening.
