I find it funny how every year since Alex has been here it takes deep down analysis, percentages and stats just to show Alex is lil better than a backup or a journeyman QB.

It doesn't take anything deep-down to show that Alex is better than Troy. He just played better than him and it also doesn't help that Troy is terrible and horribly inaccurate.

What about Shaun Hill? The point is Alex was suppose to be our franchise QB. 6 years later we are comparing his play to backups & journeymen. Futhermore to a QB (Troy) with no training camp, no countinuity, limited playbook, or no chemistry with his WRs. LOL!

Alex was better than Shaun Hill too. He outplayed Hill in the same crappy Raye system with the same supporting cast, there's no real debate their either from people that know football.

Except, Shaun was more accurate this year and threw more TD's than Alex in the same amount of games... Time for a new excuse.

This is getting off the subject but Hill won more than he lost and didn't QB in Raye's spread offense and only worked with Crabtree for half a game FYI but I'm sure you knew that being the football guy you are!

Hill wasn't on the niners this year, he had a much better OC and #1 WR. Alex still outplayed him.

Hill wad 3-3 last year. We got outscored 66-10 in the last 6 quarters he played, and he was struggling to get even a first down in Raye's system.

I would of liked Troy Smith as our QB i felt more confident in him than Alex Smith, He has a good arm and way better accuracy and is a good fit for the WCO and a good scrambler, Why did we release em again?

Well i personally think he had a better chance than Alex that's for sure, Now that i remember, that incident with singletary threw em out of frisco.

Anyways, call me whatever you want but the 49ers would have had a better chance with Troy now that we have a REAL coach on our shoulders in Harbaugh.

harbaugh disagrees with this
Troy had a couple of good games for us, and a couple of bad games. Part of me thinks that he's never gotten a fair shot in the NFL, and part of me thinks that he's just not very good. I always remember reading something somewhere about how divisive he was in the locker room in Baltimore after they drafted Flacco. Maybe I'm misremembering, but that's the kind of thing that'll make it hard to catch on with NFL teams.

32 gm's disagree with you. Come on up to the Saskatchewan roughriders Troy!

I wonder if his yelling match with Sing in the rams has anything to do with him not getting a shot.
