It ain't over 'til it's over.
ESPN's Chris Mortensen predicts that free agent Brian Westbrook will sign with a team by Monday.
Mort mentions the Rams, Redskins, and Broncos as the likeliest choices, but also leaves open the possibility of a surprise team. The aforementioned three have shown interest in the 30-year-old all along, but he's held out for a better offer from a contender. The Titans and 49ers would both make some sense as competitive clubs that could use another viable passing-down option.

Not Westbrook! We don't need another injury prone RB.

That sucks, it's slim pickings after him if he's healthy. Oh well, I guess it's the same as last year where we just have to hope Gore stays healthy.
you ain't kidding about no RB's left in free agency....i hope we can trade for lynch
Buffalo got banged up bad in their last game, they wont trade any RB right now, they need the depth.
i think ladell betts would be a good back to pick up i'm curious why he hasn't been yet. up there in age but not a lot of mileage. a poor man's chester taylor maybe.

If no Westbrook, I'd rather not look elsewhere. Instead, I'd prefer that they convert FB Caulcrick to HB and let him be #3 behind Dixon. He looked pretty good in his only run yesterday. Caulcrick is a big guy than could be used for short yardage/goalline situations. Robinson is strictly a ST guy, he sucked last night. Dixon will easily be our back up to Gore...gotta love Dixon's stiff arm on would-be tacklers.
