Who do 49ers sign to replace Coffee???

Thomas Clayton!!!!!!!!!!
Forget all the Buffalo Bills trade talk

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/08/14/fred-jackson-out-for-rest-of-the-preseason-possibly-longer/

Fred Jackson is out for the preseason as he suffered a hand injury.

Since he was the number 2 guy, they will keep Marshawn until that hand is 100% no matter how long that takes.
maybe we can get our "Scat back" now
Westbrook please.
I would've loved Lynch, but not going to happen. I hope we get one of these guys (Stecker/Westbrook/Bell).
I remeber when we had Hearst and picked up a free agent from Philly (Charlie Gardner)... it didn't matter who the third back was, our ground attack was sick. C'mon on Westbrook! If only Alex could play as good as or better than Garcia. I know, wishful thinking, but who knows?

Niners may have to wait for a few madatory roster cutdowns if they want to add a talented RB, there will be some good RB's relaesed before the regular season starts

I'd love to have Westbrook, but there must be a reason he doesnt have a job already

In the meantime, we will see alot of TD and M'Rob in the first half, and I bet Caulcrick is called upon to eat up carries in the 2nd half of the preseason games

Hopefully T'Dixon looks great and we can go with him as the #2, and just keep 5 RB/FB's (Gore, TD, M'Rob. Mo and Miller)

Who knows..maybe M'Rob has learned how to hit the hole and can be a viable 3rd down back, I know thats a reach though
Westbrook wants to play, I think we should take a look. I wouldn't doubt a great runner like him.
unretire Garrison Hearst. a Gore Hearst backfield would have my two favorite niner RBs and would be deadly in madden!!!
All of these RB's would require a Trade of some sort.

Willis McGahee | #23 | RB - RAVENS
Marshawn Lynch | #23 | RB - Bills
Michael Bush | #29 | RB - Raiders

All of them would be solid #2's in our system.

Not only that man, but I think Westbrook can still be a pro bowler, and really compliment this offense in his catching ability and give a totally different dimension of the outside threat, unlike gore the mean inside man, lol.

McGahee would be sick and he and Frank are friends from the U...but I doubt Baltimore will even trade for him...

Westbrook's deal is this:

1.) He already has offers from the Rams and the Broncos but he was hoping to get an offer from a contender.
2.) He was waiting to sign because he didn't want to go through an entire training camp (those legs have a lot of mileage).
3.) Some teams are scared off by his recent history with concussions. The guy might be one big hit away from retirement.

Westbrook and the 49ers seem like a good fit to me. He won't be asked to do too much and we can continue to develop Dixon. If he works out, he could be a tremendous addition. If he doesn't, we still have Dixon. I hope the 9ers are at least talking to Westbrook's people this weekend.

I would be fine with Ladell Betts
