Ravens sign Walt Harris

Will James seems like a training camp body. Despite playing in all 16 games last season for Detroit, his health seems like too much of a concern to keep him on the active roster.

Karl Paymah on the other hand should provide excellent depth behind Brown this season. He was out of scheme in Minnesota and brings speed (he ran a 4.3 at the NFL combine) and size to the backfield. His downfall has always been playing zone. Hopefully, Vance Joseph can correct some of his shortcomings.

Walt Harris would have been the fourth Cornerback off the sidelines, playing against slot receivers. In the NFC West, that means the likes of Donnie Avery, Golden Tate and Early Doucet.

Two of my best friends are Broncos and Vikings fans and I've seen him at least 10 to 15 games and Paymah just isn't a good CB. But you right as a 4th CB though he should be serviceable. But it did depend on how Walt came back from injury which we wont' be able to tell til we see some Ravens games. Since i live in Dc ill be able to get some coverage of that. If he was still in good shape I could see him beating out Brown for the nickel. I just think they could have at least worked him out. and with James probably not making the team I wouldn't have liked to have him back there. But it's a young mans' game no doubt.

Good for him. He might have one more good year left in him. Wish him the best.

Walt is at best a #4 or 5 CB for us, which would probably never see the field. Might as well save that spot for a young guy to develope, not someone on a one and done career now a days. I do like Walt and I wish him the best
good for him

Ravens snatchin up players from the NFC West. Boldin, Bulger, and Harris lol.

Funny how the NFC West division is seen as the weakest, but everyone else always sign/go after our players. Go figure.

Walt Harris' 14-year NFL career appears to be nearing its end.

The Ravens cut the 36-year-old cornerback on Friday after he struggled in his return from ACL surgery. No team needs live bodies in the secondary more than Baltimore, so Harris release is a strong statement about his ability to contribute right now.

Harris started his career in Chicago and made a Pro Bowl as a member of the 49ers in 2006. Baltimore has reportedly agreed to terms with undrafted rookie cornerback Chris Hawkins to replace Harris

I saw where the Ravens cut veteran cornerback Walt Harris last week. The same Walt Harris they told me they felt lucky to have in camp after Domonique Foxworth was lost for the season due to an early ACL injury.
