Is anyone going to deny that if we made this move we wouldn't instantly become SB contenders overnight??

I think if we made those moves we would automatically become contenders in the NFC, not only in the weak NFC west but the 49ers could challenge for the overall NFC crown. I think the defense is good enough.

It really would, the team could challenge for the NFC crown but some of our fellow webzonians would rather field a terrible team and save money. This team is in no position to save money with abysmal offense play and a playoff drouight of 8 years. Time to take a chance or two, no? Can't win if you don't play.

I think highly of McNabb, but the guy is on the downside of his career, and you geniuses that claim he would do better than Smith are just being ignorant of the situation. McNabb would have to learn a new system for the first time since his drafting, you think that is going to happen magically overnight? You guys need to stick to the football you know...Madden.

I can't belive sum people on here belive they know more then a super bowl winning coach...the same guys that complain that a front office needs to be filled wit football guys...herm is the definition of a football guy. If he says we're superbowl contenders with that move then I agree..only thing is we would have to pay all our superstars eventually...v.d. Gore. Mcnabb, p52, marshal..that's lotta money
