Free Agency Countdown: 6 Days and Counting

I just want us to add an edge pass rusher and perhaps an OL. I wouldn't mind if Joey Porter got cut and he came here. We need nastiness.

On Sirius NFL they quoted Vick as saying, if he went anywhere he'd like to go to the Panthers. Carolina is closer to home and the play the Falcons twice a year. I'd pass if I was Carolina. I think that kid Moore was very promising and stick with him.

im not expecting us to sign any big name guys, but im sure we will be adding some players that can help us win, plus it will give us a better idea of what we will be drafting. Filling some needs before the draft

im not hoping for any signings and only one i would really want is sproles i do however hope we extend p willy and vernon davis and also hopefully franklina as well

I hope you're right.....I just have a bleak outlook on FA this year for some reason, more so than years past, that's for sure.

if we sign any big names this year, they better play OL

The more and more I thought about it, free agency became less exciting to me when I heard McCloughan say we won't be really active in free agency. Sure we'll bring in a few FA's, but I bet we won't really be pursing them hard enough. I f they bring TO home, I'll be satisfied.

Uh, I'm not sure if you're serious, but if you are, that's a strange desire. I mean, I love me some him, but I would put WR near the bottom of the list of needs, and the risk he brings is way too high to be worthwhile. I don't really think he'd cause too many problems in the atmosphere SF currently has and where his career is, but even if he were better than the receiver he'd be replacing, he'd be slowing the young guys progress.

There are a lot of much more desireable FA's out there.

They just had a segment on ESPN for NFL Live. Marcellus said Peppers would be worth whatever contract he is paid but Kampman wouldn't be because he's 30......?

Kampman is worthy of a good contract, only if he's going to be a 4-3 DE..no way a 3-4 OLB.

Free agency isn't like the draft where you can only take one player at a time. And how would bringing TO home slow the the young guys down, you forget he also lines up inside at the slot. Last year we barely even had three receiver sets, adding TO now gives us that better option to do so.

And I think you answered your own thoughts in bold, after all we are losing two receivers in Bruce and Battle.
