OJ ATOGWE

I've been calling for this since the story about Atogwe being close to Sing's daughter. However, if we pick him up does Goldson move to SS? I've read a couple of people comment that he isn't big enough.

Isn't he going to be a RFA? In order to be an UFA, a player must have 6 credited seasons.

goldson is huge. i'm positive he'll be moved. i'm hoping for reggie smith to step it up in the offseason

Goldson is all of 5 lbs lighter than the average SS in the NFL. I think he'll do just fine.

And Atogwe is an RFA which means we'd have to give up draft picks for him. If we're going to do that we might as well draft someone.

The problem with Atogwe is he is not a run-stopping safety. I think the Niners are going to be looking for someone with a similar skillset as Mike Lewis'.

the problem isnt his weight as much as he has trouble dodging the injury bug

WASNT OJ FRANCHISED LAST SEASON MAKING HIM A UFA. AND WE WOULD MOVE GOLDSON TO SS THE DUDE IS A HITTER WHO CARES IF HE IS UNDERSIZED OR NOT.

Sunday's Rams-49ers clash in San Francisco may cause a problem for Jill Singletary.

Will she root for her boyfriend, Rams safety O.J. Atogwe? Or her father, 49ers coach Mike Singletary.

The coach confirmed this week that Atogwe, whom the Rams tagged as their franchise player last winter, is dating his daughter.

"He's a very nice guy," Singletary said of Atogwe, via theSan Francisco Chronicle. "He's a gentleman. He's been to my home several times and we've had conversations, not about football, but about life.

"He's a quality person."

Atogwe met Jill Singletary, now a college student in San Francisco, in Chicago when he attended the an NFL business school program at Northwestern University.
