Really, though...Shaun Hill is probably as good as Pennington and already knows the system. And we already have him under contract. Frankly, McNabb hasn't shown me much for the past couple of years. According to ProFootballFocus McNabb's ranked 13th to Alex's 19th this past season...not that big a differential.
Nate Davis has more potential going forward, possibly, than any of them. I think the 49ers are OK with regard to their QB situation. Guess what I'm trying to say is that our best QB options are already on the squad and that we don't need to draft one, trade for one, or sign one in free agency.
Ha no. Campbell, McNabb, Kolb, hell Feeley, any QB however the age get one in here who is decent at best, all those guys for example are better then anything we got, AJ if he still has his talent assuming he hasn't lost them to age that is.

I think Smith, Hill, and Davis all bet Pennington out. If Pennington had even a below average NFL (which is what he had at the start of his career) the guy would be able to start for more than 2/3rds of the NFL teams in the league. But since his arm is shot there is no chance he does much with any team next year.
