FS help

I think Atogwe is more of a SS but he is definitely better than what we have.

74 Tackles 1 Sack 3 FF 2 INT

He was franchised by the Rams and if you don't already know he is dating Singletary's daughter so I could see it happening.

Those numbers aren't bad but it's basically Dashon Goldson. I like Goldson and think he would be better at SS. I like Atogwe too but I really want a ball hawk, good coverage FS because we have enough safeties that can hit and play the run who can't cover.

This is only Atogwe's 5th season, so he won't be a UFA unless there's a new CBA.

Nick Collins, Green Bay Packers (27)
After seeing Collins blossom into one of best safeties last year, earning a Pro Bowl invite, the Packers wanted to see if he would perform at that high level once again. Almost through the regular season, Collins has done just that, playing at a level indicative of his talent and as one of the 5 best safeties in the league. The former second-round selection from Bethune-Cookman plays a very unique game. Collins isn’t always in the exact right position and plays aggressively in coverage, but has elite recovery speed to account for any error in his position. Collins has picked off 6 passes through 13 games and should be paid handsomely by Green Bay this offseason, or even before.

What has Goldson done to not deserve coming back as a starter in 2010? Remember, this is Goldson's first full year as a starter at the position.

90 tackles, 4 INTs, 3 FF, 6 PDs...sounds like a very solid year for Goldson.

It would be nice to see if we can find a FS in the draft in the 2nd or 3rd rounds to develop AFTER Goldson makes a switch to SS (once Lewis is gone).

But for right now, Goldson is the man in 2010 at the position.

I think Goldson is better suited at SS, but you're right we need to get a FS we can develop for when Lewis is gone

Earl Thomas or Morgan Burnett, which ever one declares. I rather over pay for Julius Peppers or Vince Wilfork.
