This would be a great pick up, we need that speed back, and I'm sure we can get him for 1.5-2mil a year.

I doubt it.....they won't release him. He'll either restructure or be traded to a team where he'd be required to restructure after the first year unless he rushes for over 1000 yards. His hand is going to be forced in all likelihood because he won't fetch 8 mill in base salary on the open market (though some team may pay him 3-5 mill in base).

His contract is what it is. He can't be forced to re-structure unless he wants to stay in New Orleans at their price . . . and I can't see any team trading for him while scheduled to make nearly $20 million over the next two years.

Unless he really loves being in New Orleans, I'd be shocked if he's not a street free agent this offseason.

i see what ya saying but i think he would restructure his contract at a chance for a repeat! bush is pretty vital for the saints! piare thomas sp lol is pretty good at catching the ball as well but he doesnt have that quickness as reggie. i see em staying in new orleans! it aint like he is a everydown back! he is just an all round explosive player who excells in certain areas and that aint at running back and im a fan of him! i dunno if he would ever break 1000 yards rushing

i would love having Reggie.
he doesnt need to break 1000 yards, and it would take the load off gores shoulders every now and then.
im sure Reggie would rather be in Cali than New Orleans..

its closer to Kim!

Am I the only one that thinks Reggie Bush isn't going anywhere?? I would think the Saints either pay him, cause they just won a Super Bowl or restructure his contract.

The Saints have a ton of guys to resign and may opt to go another direction than keeping Bush. I dunno its obviously possible he stays but he wasn't a big part of their success

Yeah, I posted that back in early December. Now that they've won a Superbowl he may indeed want to stick around.

Either way they're not going to out-right release him and get nothing for him, count on it. Think, if you were the GM in the NFL, and its 2 months away from the draft, would you just straight release Reggie Bush or would you at least wait till draft day??
it could end up being like a Portis Bailey deal where both players agree to redo their deals as soon as they arrive with the other team.

jerry jones wont even look at reggie bush when he already has felix jones and is in love with the guy
I fully expect somebody to throw big money and a starting job at him. 2 things we most likely will not be willing to offer him.
Bush aint goin no where....

Man, I'd get really excited if we could get him!

And in the draft I would like to see, OT Williams and OG Iupati, that would be a great offseason!
If he leaves NO, I expect to see him in seattle.
