Only if he signed for less then a million.

I've been a Bush supporter since he came into the league but its incredible that he can't succeed in a wide open offense like the Saints have. I'm beginning to think he is nothing more then a glorified 3rd down back.

I was watching the Saints play the other day and he had a 20 something yard run and they said that was his career long!!! Wow... Being only an hour away from New Orleans, I can tell you that all the Saints fans can careless about Reggie.

I am in Gulfport...... small world

hey i'm an hr away from da n.o too, where do u stay?

Mississippi gulf coast. Near Biloxi.

lol well i am 228niner i stay in ocean springs, buddy

Ha I'm in Gautier. Are you getting tired of all the Saints fans coming out? I like the Saints a little but I like the lovable losing saints the most.

yea dats all i see is saints crap down here lol, a lot of bandwagoners and then a few true blue ones also, so do u watch the games anywhere special or just at home

If I go out I go to Buffalo wild wings in pascagoula or beef o brady's in Diberville. Usually though my friend has the Sunday ticket so I go over there and make him watch it with me. He's a Saints fan so as long as our games aren't on at the same time we are ok. u?

Man, I'd get really excited if we could get him!

All the possibilities go down the if we don't fix our Oline.

I would take him as our primary KR and PR
he's averaging 3.8 yards a return this season

Your stat is simply wrong. he had a 55 yarder this year vs the Rams and had a 43 yarder the year before.

Reggie Bush is not your typical RB -- he's special. The guy had 200 catches in his first 34 games...that's insane and an NFL record (actually tied w/ Boldin, a WR!). He's also deadly in the PR/KR game.

In 2008, Bush has 9 TDs in 9 games. For his career, bush has 30 TDs in 47 games, only 33 starts. For his career Bush has scored a TD every 23 times he has touched the ball, including returns. By comparison, Ten's Chris Johnson scores every 27 times he touches the ball, Peterson every 26 times, Gore every 36 times, MJD every 20 times (15 on rushes, 18 on offense), and LT every 16 times.

These are ridiculous numbers to contemplate, since Bush rarely gets the ball on goalline plays.

Bush would be a great fit for a spread offense, eluding defenders on draw plays.

exactly he would be perfect for our new offense

This would be a great pick up, we need that speed back, and I'm sure we can get him for 1.5-2mil a year.

I doubt it.....they won't release him. He'll either restructure or be traded to a team where he'd be required to restructure after the first year unless he rushes for over 1000 yards. His hand is going to be forced in all likelihood because he won't fetch 8 mill in base salary on the open market (though some team may pay him 3-5 mill in base).

His contract is what it is. He can't be forced to re-structure unless he wants to stay in New Orleans at their price . . . and I can't see any team trading for him while scheduled to make nearly $20 million over the next two years.

Unless he really loves being in New Orleans, I'd be shocked if he's not a street free agent this offseason.

He also will be aware that as a street FA he won't get 8 or 11.8 in base. Restructuring would be in his best interest.

if the reports are true, seems like they don't even want him because of his knees

yup heard that too. dude almost or has already at a young age bone on bone contact. thats gotta suck

damn. if it is like that? i would still not mind giving up a 3rd or 4h for him. all we are doing is taking aflyer on a guy out of the draft, but that we know can play at a high level.

Read the last sentence of the Second Paragraph!

I think he would add a great home run threat and he would solve our Return Man "issues"...Could you imagine VD, Crabs, and Bush, (no to mention Frank the Tank) WTF is a D coordinator gonna do? I'll take it!

watching pti the other day 3 teams have expressed interest in him if he doesnt come back. us, seattle with pete carroll and LOL the lions which no way in hell he goes to. if we show him good money he comes to us but if seattle throws the bank stupidly then he'll go to seattle imo.

we got everything in place bush would want if we offer him something. hes back in cali, an up and coming team, someone hes known for for yrs in alex and a coach he'll enjoy playing for. the 9ers just have to do their part to bring bush back to cali

The Saints need to do their part first and release him.
They were discussing this on espn and they mentioned the potential teams as Seattle,Detroit, and San fransisco.

Here's the issue I haev with Bush for us. If an offensive mastermind like Payton couldn't make him a star even with all the forced touches, what in the hell makes anyone think our archaic OC would use him creatively enough to warrant having him?

decent return man that will occasionally leap into the endzone for a espn highlight
