I think they'll let him walk. They just drafted Brace in the 2nd and they have Mike Wright, who's played well when Wilfork's place.
Also, with Franklin looking like he'll test the market and get paid as well. I wouldn't be surprised if we negotiate will both of these guys and ultimately sign whoever we can get for a more reasonable contract.
What worries me is Scott franchising Franklin, which has been pretty much made public. IMO, if I were Scotty Mac, I wouldn't franchise Franklin, I'd rather take my chances in free agency and the draft if we fail in free agency. Only up till now, Franklin has been playing his ass off, and what better year to do it in your contract year. I'd rather pony up the dollars to get a much more consistent NT in Casey Hampton or Vince Wilfork.

Sorry but I can't bear the idea of them playing 3-4 again without a NT. Well, one who could play. Anything to avoid returning to that place. Franklin, Wilfork, Wolfork, whoever, don't care.
Me neither, but the 2010 off-season is looking like a good time to make a big splash in the market, since we didn't do it last year.
And are D made warner look like a b***h 2 times for it!
