ESPNBoston.com's Mike Reiss suspects Tully Banta-Cain was released in a procedural move that will allow the Patriots to sign him to a multi-year deal.
Banta-Cain was originally signed to the veteran minimum one-year, $620,000 deal, which is not eligible for extension until after the season. Reiss believes that by ripping up the original deal, the side can now move forward with a long-term contract.

That's a neat little trick. Pats front office know how to exploit a loop hole.

He had a chance to talk to Ocho Cinco, and has changed his name to Spinnus Maximus.

NE has a very good DL that allows OLBs to make plays. SF does not. End of story.

They don't have Seymour playing in front of TBC anymore and our DL has really stepped up this year.
The truth is that the Pats have a weak pass rush this year.

Have you been watching Niners football this year? seriously...one thing to criticize our oline, QB, WR, but our dline? Our dline has been one of the best this year, Franklin and J Smith are playing great, wtf are you smoking.
