What about Kyle Orton? s**t I'd take him.

Would probably pass on Bruce too.

Haven't you heard? Denver now thinks of Kyle Orton as a franchise QB.

Wilfork would be a great pickup for our team. Don't see the Patriots paying him since they drafted two guys early in the draft this year.

Your crazy if you think Orton is going anywhere.
Dumerville and Seymore...on Defense.. Mc.Neil at RT.. That's it, that's all... This fixes us....Lutui wouldnt be bad either..
I tend to think all the big name OLinemen (McNeill Evans and Colledge specifically) will be re-signed. Looking at the guys who I think will make it to FA:

Leon Washington, New York Jets (27) - Would be a perfect fit for us as a 3rd down back to keep wear and tear off Gore, and very good KR/PR. However he's looking for a big pay raise and more of a feature role. Jimmy Raye was his position coach for his first 3 years in the league, if that counts for anything.

Julius Peppers(29) - Looking to break the bank, but we could probably figure out a way to make it work. He wants to play 3-4 OLB and I think he can, but the position switch is an obvious risk. I think we do have the personnel in place to play a 4-3 in case he can't make the switch.

Aaron Kampman(29) - Given his struggles in moving to 3-4 OLB this year, I think he'll be wanting to go back to playing 4-3 DE, but at the very least I think he'll be hitting the FA pool so who knows.

Vince Wilfork(27) - Pats are notorious for letting big name players go, and the writing on the wall is there since they drafted Ron Brace this year.

Richard Seymour(29) - Only reason I wouldn't go after him is the problem of having too much invested into the DE positions, although I guess Soap has played NT before, albeit not that well iirc.

Shawne Merriman(25) - SD is probably gonna have let someone go out of him, McNeill, and VJack. It's a bit of a gamble given his knee injury, but considering how far modern medicine has come, I would be willing to take the gamble that he nears full recovery by next season.

O.J. Atogwe(28) - May not want to stick around for the Rams rebuilding project. Went to Stanford and dating Sing's daughter, so we do have some ties to him. We need a playmaker at safety.

He's priority #1 for me. If we want to be a running team, we need to have an o-line where we can just plug in guys if needed and have them produce. I'm talking about lines at the level of New Orleans, Tennessee, Baltimore, Denver.

Ya, was wondering about that too. My guess is he re-signs though. If he doesn't, then we should go hard after him.
Can you imagine our D with the additions of: Atogwe, Wilfork, and Merriman.
damn, this FA class is STACKED!

Shawn Merriman is only 25 years old? Feels like that dude's been in the league for years and years.

I think he came in the league when he was 21.

My early FA wish list...

LG D.Colledge, GB (Packers will prob sign him, but he would be a very good starter for us who could replace Baas, who may not be resigned)

OLB T.Laboy, (Out this season with torn biceps, but should be good to go next year, solid backup OLB)

I also like Atogwe as our FS, but it may be awkward playing for Sing

Seymour at LDE for us would be fantastic, but Oak will prob tag him

I'm hoping we pick up LaBoy too next year. I think he did a good thing and sit out this year. He was never this injured in college and has always been a beast. I'm really hoping the 9ers push hard for him and vice versa next year. With him growing up in the Bay area I'd hope he want to come to the 9ers.
