Per La Canfora, the Bills tried to trade Walker before cutting him. It's also possible that the Bills asked Walker to reduce his $3 million base salary, which would have become guaranteed as of Saturday, if he hadn't been released. Walker started every game in 2007 and 2008 for the Bills. He becomes an unrestricted free agent. dont know 2 much about him is he worth looking at ??

Sims is okay as a backup, and we don't need to add to a cap penalty by replacing him for another 1-2 M dollar OT.

Thats bs. Sims is horrible and Walker would be a huge upgrade.

So answer the question as to why Walker would want to come here and be the 3rd/4th OT?

He can get a starting gig if he just waits until an injury occurs.
