I don't think we're looking at a QB. We just cut a veteran backup and we have Nate Davis as our young prospect. Waste of a spot on the 53-man.
Unfortunatly, I don't think they are looking at QB also. Although I like Hill it just seems like most stories on the niners say the same thing, "If the Niners had a QB they could be a playoff team." I'm kind of tierd of waiting for next year to build through the draft. We need to start winning. I hope the Niner's brass knows soimething everyone else seems not to.
1) Who is the QB who didn't make a 53 man roster who could step in without knowing the plays or offense and make us a playoff team? This is a real question.
2) Who is the QB who was available at 10 in last years draft who would step in and make us a playoff team. This is a real question.
Good questions. I agree there there is no great answer. At the same time, I beleive that there are QB's out there who are avalible via trade who would be an upgrade for our team. Yes, it would take time to become familiar with our players and the O , but it is not like Hill or Smith look like they have a strong comand of either of those. I like them but, they haven't look that impressive IMO. If trading for a QB can make us competitive then I say lets do it.
Jeff Garcia but the York's dumped him so I don't think he would want to come here? But he is from Gilroy?
