Favre brings too much of a circus. Not good for a team trying to make its first playoff run in 6 years.
Besides, he faded fast down the stretch last year. If you're trying to play into January, who would you rather have: the guy who led his team to the Super Bowl, or the guy who helped his team blow an 8-4 record to miss the playoffs?

Warner is more valuable on a grand scale because he played for our rivals (who we play twice a year) and knows the intricacies of their offense and possibly their defense. On top of that he's not a gun slinger like Favre is and is one of the more cognitive QBs in the league.

Didn't he say last year toward the end of the season that he was tired and was ready to retire? or something similar to that. If I remember right even the announcers had stated something about how he just didn't seem to care anymore.
