Edge would be a nice back up, but for the right price? I think we might stay put.

I know this isn't Madden, but I would love to have Edge finish out his career with us. What happened to Foster?

With Clayton going down it gives us the opportunity to see a lot more of Sheets.

i think we should stick with what we got, i mean it doesnt look like any of these free agents are going anywhere anytime soon, if it comes down to it we can just sign one during the season

Actually it looks as if we might have two roster spots open with Keasey also going down with an arm injury. I think we should continue to give Sheets and Hiller reps and bring in more OLB's.

Well it looks like McCloughan wasn't looking at my reply as we just signed a FB.

Miller will go to the PS, he will be safe there. This new kid will be a camp work horse then sent to the glue factory once cuts start being made.

Maybe someone can explain to me why we need to be 3 deep (4 if you count MRob) at fullback during the preseason.
Your suggestion made perfect sense, use the roster spot for someone who can get afetr the QB, maybe we could strike gold.
I'm all for the FB position, FB is very important to our style of offense, but damn. It's not like Keasey had a chance in hell to make this team anyway, he was a finesse FB, a Martz style FB.
Good grief.

Agreed, but still.

Keasey is hurt, Norris hasn't been playing, MRob is hurt, Miller is learning a new position.......is that enough reason to pick up a new guy for training camp?

Meh, I guess. I'm not sure exactly why Norris hasn't been playing, but he is the starter. I would think we would keep 2 fb's on the 53-man, and if we had to choose today, I think it would be Norris and Miller. MRob is a utility guy. On second thought, would we keep 2 fb's on the 53 man? Last year we barely had one half the time, even when greasey Keasey was in there.
But you're right, Miller is learning a new position. God forbid he comes out next week and falls on his face.....somehow I don't think that will happen. He would be perfect for ST, I just don't know if we will have the room, like you said.

We will keep 1 FB on the 53....Norris. Miller will be a PS guy and can be called up if Norris gets hurt. This new kid will just take the poundings off Miller and Norris at practice. He will be cut closer to the season.
