Rivers isn't going anywhere. Why even speculate on this.

The Chargers can't possibly be as stupid as the Broncos. They will lock him up, for a long time.

why NOT??
its a message board...its what...we do...on message boards......
I would trade the 49ers picks for Rivers......
But i agree with everybody else.... I doubt the Chargers Trade him.
But who knows... Rivers could play major hard ball.....and the Chargers could think better something then nothing....

I would trade 2 1st's for Rivers in a heartbeat regardless of contract demands. Dude is a stud and deserves big money.

Still, the 49ers do not have a defense like the Ravens did that year. If Rivers could be had for our two 1st rounders next year, I would give them up in a heartbeat; but only if Smith doesn't pan out to be our franchise QB.
Interesting spin. Do you think Scot thought about this when he was going for two 1st rounders next year? Or do you think he was just trying to focus on the stellar draft class coming up? Hmmm...
Interesting topic; thanks for starting it.
i think he was thinking about the draft. he said he wants to build through the draft not FA signings. Rivers would be dope but for 2 1sts and a huge contract i dont think scotty would do it. especially since next years draft is gonna have some great QB's coming out
