I don't know why they would want Franklin, but I know why they would give up Wilfork. The Patriots are notorious for not paying their players, so there's a good chance he will leave via free agnecy and the Patriots will wind up getting NOTHING for him.

If they tag him and try to trade him, they might get a 2nd rounder, maybe. But I doubt they will receive anything higher than that.

i dont think we should give up a 3rd for him. hes gonna get overpayed when we have to give him a deal. keep the picks and use them, the patriots usually get the best out of every deal.

They paid Ty Warren, Richard Seymour, Tom Brady, Matt Light, Randy Moss, ect. They simply know when NOT to pay a player.
