Cap efficiency

http://www.footballoutsiders.com/under-cap/2009/under-cap-2008-leaguewide-cap-efficiency

couple things of note, we have the 3rd most available room in cap limit to spend on players and dead money.

and a 6.49 efficency rating.

But I thought with the extension of Joe Staley we are down to $15 million??
That gives me hope that the front office has got their game plan down. The 9ers have really positioned themselves well for the future, especially now since they used that "savings account" to lock up one of their own and not burden the cap for years to come.

The 49ers 2009 adjusted cap space is about 142 million. Can the 49ers continue to "roll-over" the extra cap space they have? Does it add to the 142 million they have available or does it add to the 2010 base salary cap?
At this point, in a couple years it won't matter anyways.
good work as usual paraag, err i mean AB

Well...depending on if our young players step up, we could have a higher efficiency rating.
It’s great to be out of salary cap hell, but we really don’t have a lot to show for it yet.
