Can someone post what exactly the MAX cap room we could have this year with cuts and restructures and give an idea of what we're up against next year...???
I know we sit at $29 million under right now, but what about the Jonas Jennings and Alex Smith contracts???
Is it possible to have Nate Clements and Frank Gore restructure??
I mean, in the absolute perfect situation, what is the absolute BEST we can get in max room this year???

I believe if we cut/restructure Alex and cut Jennings we'll get another 7mil, I also believe our number is 27mil. We'd get some money from cutting a few other players aswell but I can't remember who they are
It would be a bit silly to ask Gore and Clements to restructure, I'd personally feel angry if my boss asked me to take a pay cut while he had 30mil+ sitting in the bank. Especially it being two of our lead players, it'd defiantly be a bit disrespectful and probably damage our relationship between them. Why ask your stars to sacrifice in a time when it's not needed, comes off a bit selfish. I mean we're 34mil under the cap, it's not like we're 4 mil under cap and looking dire to keeping the team together.

That is true "restructuring doesn't mean taking a pay cut." The players will still get their money in another kind of way.

With expected cuts and restructuring, I'd say around 35-37 M dollars will be available.

Thanks.
That's less than I thought. I was thinking we could get up to 40.

That's F-N CRAZY!!!
Do you think they will be big players in free agency???
They do need a QB and it seems like they're in a good position to bring in just about anybody they want.
Who wouldn't want to play on a team with Fitz???
I hope we don't have to get in any bidding wars with AZ to land the FA's we want.

Quoting AB83 in a thread not a million miles from here:
2. Arizona -- $41m under – Charley Casserly quoted this astounding figure on CBS last week. It’s kind of deceiving because few teams have as many big names to re-sign. They only have 37 players under contract this year. QB Kurt Warner, DE Bert Berry, DE Antonio Smith and LB Karlos Dansby are free agents. Would Warner stay on a discount so he can stay with Larry Fitzgerald? Obviously WR Anquan Boldin wants more money. WR Steve Breaston warrants an extension. They can cut RB Edgerrin James and DE Chike Okeafor and free up $7m. Overall there’s no reason why Arizona can’t sign studs like DE Terrell Suggs (who went to ASU), C/G Jason Brown (another stud Raven), and maybe RB Darren Sproles (change-up for Hightower?).

That's a scary thought...
Hope it doesn't happen.

Let's see how much they have after Dansby and Berry, or possible Breaston.
They should get one good FA..this is going to be our competition next year surely.

It's likely Berry won't be re-signed, Breaston will get 3rd option pay, and Dansby will get around 35% over franchise LB tags spread over a few years.
The question will be Warner and Boldin.

Their number is deceiving as they have a lot of FAs to re-sign.
