Here are my reasons for being against adding keepers:
1) It cheapens the draft. I think the draft is the fun part of fantasy leagues
2) It takes away the top 60 players from changing hands and being part of the draft
3) It makes it very difficult for the teams at the bottom to ever get to the top with the elite players all being gone
4) It changes the rules of this league which was set for 3 keepers from day 1
If we really want to set up a league with this many keepers we should:
1) blow this league up after this season and start over next year with the new rules
2) put provisions in place where you lose the pick in the round in which your keeper pick was selected
3) have a limit in the # of years in which you can keep a player
The keeper rules in Crazys league are far better than the rules in this league.

I'm for it. Also maybe one more DL position. And maybe batting average as a stat?
Uhhhhh ohhkay. There must be something about the batting avg stat you guys had a problem with in the past. This is the first league in my 10+ years of fantasy ball that hasn't had the avg category lol.
take Adam LaRoche today for example, 3 AB's, 3 walks, he's obviously having an impact in this game yet if we had AVG as a stat it wouldn't show it at all. If he hits a HR it counts the same as being a single. OBP & SLG are much better categories

I hear ya and I get it. But to be fair... P WINS is a category and we know that is pretty much b******t. I like the QS category. Not complaining though. I'm not going to fight for rule changes in a league I'm a noob in and still wouldn't anyway. It's good to discuss things every year though.

yeah I'd be down to get rid of W's too, but we'd need to replace it with another category

So me, James, crzy, muggins, Boise are for...
Ninerjohn is against
James needs votes from other people.
And adding one more or two at the most does NOT cheapen the draft. There are WAY to many positions and players to be had....it is not the end of the world, I think every single team knows it has 4 or 5 players that they would not trade.....
So come on we need votes

Keeping 60 of the top players out of the draft DOES cheapen the draft and makes it very difficult for the teams at the bottom to come back. What is wrong with 3 anyway? Just keep 3 and have a good draft the next season. What is the major reason behind having 5 keepers anyway.
I'm not interested in the league if we go to 5 keepers. I dont want the same players staying on the same teams year after year.. Just my 2 cents.

I'm for increasing it if that's what people want to do. Whatever you all agree on, I'm good with. Just add one more DL spot at least.

I think Ninerjohn is right and we should switch to the keeper rules in the other league where you give up the pick of the round of the player you keep.
That way we can also switch to 4 keepers and everybody is happy.

I prefer 5, as does jrg...4 is fine with me, at least it isn't three. And I didn't say we have to go with five that's not what we are voting for...it's just to increase the keeper size...three is just too little....it's seems that four is the number that is preferred as well as adding another DL

Actually, James told me he was leaning towards 4. You may be alone on the 5 keeper preference on this one. I have never really heard from you the reasoning for so many keepers other than you wanted that. I have given several reasons why I oppose 5.

I said 4 is fine with me
I have already said my reasoning. There are way to many players and positions to only have three keepers. 4 or 5 is a good number. I am good with 4.

5 is too many no matter what.
I think we should go to the keeper rules in the other league...giving up draft picks makes things more interesting
