Great post! I mostly agree with you, with the exception of JETS and BENGALS. I think they will be better; maybe even the BEARS.

Am I putting the Niners too high? Who agrees/disagrees with their ranking?

Good ratings but Chargers are too high. Way too high.

Possibly.... My projections are based on how many games I think the team will win and the Charger will eat up the AFC East but the rest of their schedule looks pretty brutal. Where would you put them?

Looks like you have the niners right around 8 or 9 wins...which seems about right to me.

I think you mean AFC west, but I agree with the rankings if your basing the amount of games the team will win.
If LT and Merriman bounce back, they have a shot

#32 Detroit Lions I like Schwartz and think he can turn things around for this team, not this year
#31 Cleveland Browns I am not overly impressed with Eric Mangini
#30 Tampa Bay Bucs I think the Bucs are going to take some steps back this year
#29 Denver Broncos My advice to those young receivers…get out sooner than later.
#28 St. Louis Rams On offense I think this team is going to continue to struggle.
#27 Oakland Raiders They do 2 things well, run and stop the pass…counts for something
#26 Kansas City Chiefs I love this young D-line, on the other side..Cassel to Bowe?
#25 Miami Dolphins they are a pretty average team but last year was a fluke
#24 San Francisco 49ers Defense may be turning a corner, will be held back by that offense
#23 Buffalo Bills O-Line has gone largely ignored for several off-seasons and Peters was the bright spot.
#22 Houston Texans I just don’t see this team going anywhere from here
#21 New York Jets have an offensive makeover exactly how I think it should be done. Big Sanchez fan
#20 Minnesota Vikings it could be a special situation where they can excel without a QB; I doubt it
#19 Jacksonville Jaguars I don’t like the latest co-ords for Del Rio,this team may be heading backwards .
#18 Atlanta Falcons they really need to get better at stopping the run, possible jinx year for Ryan
#17 Washington Redskins effective offense and defense, Jason Campbell only needs to manage
#16 Seattle Seahawks Hasselbeck could have a bit of a revival season
#15 Carolina Panthers I love Deangelo and Stewart, hate Delhomme…love the depth in D
#14 Baltimore Ravens the Defense is going to take major steps backwards though, jinx year for Flacco
#13 Cincinatti Bengals Palmer and Ocho is always a threat and this defense is not your typical Bengals
#12 Chicago Bears Cutler & Forte will get this offense out of the gutters, that will give this D a chance
#11 New Orleans Saints offense is based on 5 receivers out on the field at all times, no inside rush
#10 Tennessee Titans Can new DC Chuck Cecil maintain the high level of play without Haynesworth?
#9 Arizona Cardinals Can Beanie Wells finally give Arizona a respectable ground attack? In case Leinart?
# 8 Green Bay Packers Offense is clicking and the Defense is solid, they have a nice young front 7 in the 3-4
#7 Dallas Cowboys not drafting well, mercs coming and going is not resulting in a TEAM, just a talented squad
#6 San Diego Chargers Drafted well, seem to have good chemistry but this team lacks leadership..and a good coach
#5 New York Giants Big Blue is just as deep on defense as they have ever been…can Eli have a career year?
#4 Pittsburgh Steelers This team is stacked. Best defense in the game, by far the best 3-4, Big Ben has weapons
#3 Philadelphia Eagles I can’t see this defense fall off at all due to Jim Johnson’s absence, McNabb has horses
#2 Indianapolis Colts most of these new coaches have been groomed, and a 3rd WR will emerge like always
#1 New England Patriots don’t fool yourself, they are still the team to beat and Brady is still King
#31 Cleveland Browns I am not overly impressed with Eric Mangini
#30 Tampa Bay Bucs I think the Bucs are going to take some steps back this year
#29 Denver Broncos My advice to those young receivers…get out sooner than later.

I try to think of Power Rankings as a predictor. I think it is folly for so called experts to post new power rankings every single week...making adjustments AFTER game outcomes...well that is easy.
I make 1 Power Ranking after the draft and 1 Final Version after week 3. I am willing to take credit later on correct predictions and eat crow on the dumb predictions.
