Raiders 37 - Saints 17
49ers @ Jets (+6.5)
Why SF Wins: The 49ers cannot lose this game. The Jets looked downright laughable against the Buffalo Bills and the 49ers are coming off a devastating season opening loss at home. Jets QB Sam Darnold is the typical USC QB, overrated and over-hyped. Nothing about Darnold would lead anyone to believe that he could pull off any of the magic that
Kyler Murray did against the 49ers in Week 1. The 49ers front 4 should apply pressure often to a weak Jets line and Darnold will hand the 49ers plenty of opportunities due to turnovers and short fields. The Jets do not have very good players on either side of the ball. The 49ers should dominate in all 3 phases of the game. The 49ers will win with a ton of rushing yards, a plethora of big plays on defense, and if they simply show up looking to compete.
Why SF Loses: They don't. I have four daughters, and I'd bet any of them on this one. That's how certain I am the 49ers win this game.
Prediction: 49ers in a landslide. Kyle Shanahan and
Jimmy Garoppolo should be thanking the football gods this week as this cupcake Jets team is perfectly placed on the 49ers schedule. The 49ers will run the ball down the Jets' throats and may just make Jets fans abandon all hope for QB Sam Darnold.
49ers 38 - Jets 12

5 ESPN experts name Javon Hargrave-to-49ers as best free agent signing
ESPN recently asked 12 of its analysts and writers to identify the best overall free agent signing this offseason. Five of them named the San Francisco 49ers signing former Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Javon Hargrave as the winner.
After facing him in the NFC Championship Game, the Niners couldn't resist the urge to pursue the high-profile free agent. Hargrave recorded five of the Eagles defense's 20 total pressures in that game against the 49ers, tallying one of Philadelphia's three sacks, and earning a 91.1 overall Pro Football Focus grade, his second-highest grade of the season (91.5, Week 18 vs. Giants). The defender's
Assessing the 49ers roster and needs after one week of free agency
The first wave of free agency has come and gone, and the 49ers have had to say goodbye to a number of familiar faces while welcoming a few new ones. There's been a good amount of shuffling over the past week, but one thing remains clear -- the 49ers still have one of the best rosters in the NFL.
There's still more players to be added in the weeks ahead, both in the draft and in free agency. The 49ers still need depth and competition in a few areas, and maybe a new starter in a key spot on special teams. But with the way things look now, the 49ers could be looking at a fairly complete roster with very few weaknesses once they're done with their offseason moves.
Here's a look at where things stand by position as of March 17, along with some thoughts on where the

The San Francisco 49ers have been known as a team that has built throughout the draft in the Kyle Shanahan era, which has led to seasoned success throughout the head coach's tenure, with the organization reaching the NFC Championship Game three times over the past four seasons.
However, among the several draft hits that have propelled their roster to one of the league's best, there have been several mistakes that set the organization back at the time.
With the NFL Draft approaching next month, and the 49ers having another integral draft for their future success, let's revisit the five biggest draft mistakes of the Shanahan-Lynch era thus far.
Honorable Mention: Trey Lance
