Week 1 of the NFL season is generally a crap shoot. My picks for Week 1 were a good example of that, an even 8-8. Each week I will cover my best and worst picks from the prior week and pick the upcoming games. Let's get into it.

Season Record: 8-8
49ers Record: 0-1

Best & Worst Picks of Week 1

My Best Pick: Jaguars over Colts 34-30
Final Score: Jaguars over Colts 27-20

My Worst Pick: Cowboys 45 - Rams 20
Final Score: Rams 20- Cowboys 17

Week 2 Predictions

Bengals @ Browns (-6) - Burrow's better than Baker, but who isn't? Bengals 23 - Browns 21

Jaguars @ Titans (-10.5) - Titans defense, run game too much for Jags. Titans 26-16

Rams @ Eagles (-3.5) - Wentz can't stay upright, Donald devours a bad line. Rams 23 - 20

Giants @ Bears (-5.5) - Danny Dimes drops 4 touchdowns in a surprising win for NYG. Giants 34- Bears 16

Panthers @ Buccaneers (-8) - Brady gets his first win as a Buc. Buccaneers 27 - Panthers 24

Bills @ Dolphins (+3.5) - Bills defense is one of the best in the game, another easy win here. Bills 33 - Dolphins 7

Broncos @ Steelers (-6) - A dominant defense at home is always a recipe for success. Steelers 24 - Broncos 13

Falcons @ Cowboys (-6.5) - Atlanta's receivers set fire to the Dallas secondary. Falcons 27 - Cowboys 20

Lions @ Packers (-5.5) - Add another chapter to the book titled "Why the Lions fired Matt Patricia." Packers 26 - Lions 24

Vikings @ Colts (-2.5) - Colts inch closer and closer to the season debut of QB Jacoby Brissett. Vikings 23 - Colts 13

Washington Football Team @ Cardinals (-6.5) - Cards aren't actually good, WFT defense exposes that. WFT 21 - Cardinals 18

Ravens (-5) @ Texans - BOB lost this game in the offseason, Ravens feast. Ravens 45 - Texans 20

Chiefs (-6.5) @ Chargers - Chiefs offense may be the best in the league, it rolls here. Chiefs 34 - Chargers 10

Patriots @ Seahawks (-3.5) - Unlike the Dolphins, Seattle actually has a quarterback. Seahawks 21 - Patriots 20

Saints (-4.5) @ Raiders - Raiders shock the world, in a big way. Raiders 37 - Saints 17

49ers @ Jets (+6.5)

Why SF Wins: The 49ers cannot lose this game. The Jets looked downright laughable against the Buffalo Bills and the 49ers are coming off a devastating season opening loss at home. Jets QB Sam Darnold is the typical USC QB, overrated and over-hyped. Nothing about Darnold would lead anyone to believe that he could pull off any of the magic that Kyler Murray did against the 49ers in Week 1. The 49ers front 4 should apply pressure often to a weak Jets line and Darnold will hand the 49ers plenty of opportunities due to turnovers and short fields. The Jets do not have very good players on either side of the ball. The 49ers should dominate in all 3 phases of the game. The 49ers will win with a ton of rushing yards, a plethora of big plays on defense, and if they simply show up looking to compete.

Why SF Loses: They don't. I have four daughters, and I'd bet any of them on this one. That's how certain I am the 49ers win this game.

Prediction: 49ers in a landslide. Kyle Shanahan and Jimmy Garoppolo should be thanking the football gods this week as this cupcake Jets team is perfectly placed on the 49ers schedule. The 49ers will run the ball down the Jets' throats and may just make Jets fans abandon all hope for QB Sam Darnold. 49ers 38 - Jets 12

By Site Staff

The San Francisco 49ers are set to host the New York Giants at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, on Thursday, September 21, at 5:15 p.m. PT. Each week, the 49ers Webzone staff predicts the winner within its annual NFL Pick 'em contest. That includes writers and forum moderators. This week, all seven participating staff members selected the 49ers to beat the Giants. San Francisco is currently a 10.5-point favorite. As for all the fans taking part in our NFL Pick 'em contest, 99 percent have the 49ers winning the game, as of this post. Of

49ers vs. Giants: Picks and Predictions

The San Francisco 49ers will finally return to Levi's Stadium in Week 3 for their home opener, where they'll host the New York Giants in a Thursday Night Football showdown in hopes of improving to 3-0. Heading into the game, the 49ers are seen as ten-point favorites, with the over/under placed at 44.5 points per game, as the Giants will be without star running back Saquon Barkley, left tackle Andrew Thomas, outside linebacker Azeez Ojulari, and left guard Ben Bredeson on the road. In a weekly installment, I'll be dishing out some fun predictions on the game, rather than just providing an outright winner, although that will still continue in certain close games. This week, I've got six intriguing predictions, with some for the 49ers and others for the

"They are basically fielding the NFL All-Pro team": Where the 49ers stand in Week 3 power rankings

By David Bonilla

The San Francisco 49ers have now won 12 consecutive regular-season games, just three games shy of tying the 15-game record set between the 1989 and 1990 seasons. Sunday's 30-23 win against the Los Angeles Rams may not have been the prettiest of victories, but Kyle Shanahan's squad improved to 2-0 on the season and sit alone atop the NFC West. The 49ers managed to beat their division rival despite quarterback Brock Purdy having arguably his most unimpressive game as a starter. He finished the game 17-of-25 for 206 yards and a passer rating of 93.1, a new regular-season career-low as a starter. Meanwhile, running back Christian McCaffrey leads the NFL with 268 rushing yards and ranks second only to wide receiver Justin Jefferson of the Minnesota Vikings in
