Here's your recap of the top San Francisco 49ers-related stories from the past week. Mohammed Sanu Earlier this week, Mohammed Sanu received praise from multiple coaches about his performance during the team's offseason program. Head coach Kyle Shanahan and offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel highlighted his play, paving the path for an interesting competition for that third wideout spot behind Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk. Last week, Kyle Shanahan was a guest on "The TK Show" with The Athletic's Tim Kawakami. He got the chance to discuss the San Francisco 49ers' offseason program, his thoughts on rookie Trey Lance, new defensive coordinator DeMeco Ryans, and most intriguingly, passing on star quarterbacks Patrick Mahomes and Deshaun Watson in the 2017 NFL Draft. "Anybody who had a chance to take Patrick Mahomes or Deshaun who didn't, I mean, everyone wishes we had a time machine," Shanahan said. Injuries are unavoidable in the NFL. No team is going to make it through a now-17-game season without injuries. That's why having good depth is so important. However, there remain some players who, if they leave the lineup, could dramatically impact a team's production. We saw a lot of that with the San Francisco 49ers last season. Injuries plagued the roster as the team limped its way through a six-win season. You knew the loss of pass rusher Nick Bosa to a torn ACL in Week 2 would impact the season. On the offensive side of the football, the team lost Jimmy Garoppolo, and the quarterback went on to miss 10 of the last 14 games. The miserable injury luck continued this week. San Francisco lost two players to significant injuries during Monday's practice.

For the San Francisco 49ers, you could probably make an argument for wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk to be thrown in the mix of some combination. However, he is just entering his second season and still has much to prove. Instead, Treash went with All-Pro tight end George Kittle and third-year wideout Deebo Samuel. The duo comes in at No. 10 on the list. To prove Treash correct, the duo will need to stay healthy in 2021. Both players, like much of the roster, struggled with injuries last season. Kittle missed half the season, and Samuel missed
