"We are thrilled to celebrate the San Francisco 49ers 70th anniversary and the many special moments that make up the history of this storied franchise," said 49ers COO Ethan Casson. Now that Trey Lance is a member of the San Francisco 49ers, the question becomes when he'll get his chance to see the field. But for now, Lance doesn't seem to be thinking that far ahead and is instead focusing on getting his feet wet in the Bay Area. In particular, Lance is looking forward to getting to know his teammates, including current starting quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, and learning everything he can about his new team and his new home. Lance spoke to 49ers beat reporters for the first time Thursday night after the team made him the third overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. While this is very out of character for me to post something like this. Wanted to hopefully motivate someone to do the same this year. Excited for what's next and can't wait to see who the Niners

Michael Silver took to Twitter on Friday to share his thoughts on the San Francisco 49ers' looming quarterback decision. Last month, the team traded up to the No. 3 overall spot to acquire a future replacement for Jimmy Garoppolo, who has struggled to stay on the field during his time in Santa Clara. Silver notes that he has been repeatedly asked about the pick and the 49ers' thinking.
