49ers show off 70th anniversary patch

The San Francisco 49ers' 70th anniversary is this upcoming season and the team released a video that shows off an anniversary patch that will be worn on the players' jerseys. You can watch it below.


The team has worn anniversary patches before. The last was in 2006 when the 49ers were celebrating their 60th anniversary. You can see what all of the anniversary patches look like on our logo history page.

"The unveiling of this commemorative logo is the first of several steps in our year-long celebration of seven decades of 49ers football. The Washington Football Team faced some crushing news earlier this week after further tests confirmed that defensive end Chase Young tore his ACL in Washington's win over Tampa Bay last weekend. Young, who was selected No. 2 overall in the 2020 NFL Draft, has had a relatively quiet sophomore season, with just 1.5 sacks and two forced fumbles in nine games this year, after an impressive rookie season, where he accumulated 7.5 sacks to go along with four forced fumbles en route to winning NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year. 49ers activate Jaquiski Tartt from IR, Davontae Harris from practice squad

The San Francisco 49ers have announced the following roster moves ahead of the team's Week 11 road matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars. S Jaquiski Tartt has been activated from injured reserve CB Davontae Harris has been activated from the practice squad Tartt landed on injured reserve on October 30 due to a knee injury. This week, the 49ers opened the practice windows for both Tartt and linebacker Dre Greenlaw. However, only Tartt has been activated ahead of Sunday's game.
