49ers special assistant to the head coach Robert Talley leaves for NCAA div II team

Robert Talley, who served for the past two seasons as Special Assistant and Assistant Offensive Line Coach for the National Football League's San Francisco 49ers, has been named as Head Football Coach at Stonehill College. Talley, who becomes the sixth Skyhawk varsity mentor in school history, succeeds Chris Woods, who resigned last month to become an assistant coach at Harvard University.

A somewhat bigger-than-necessary deal was made last week when reporters saw San Francisco 49ers quarterback Trey Lance taking the first-team reps in the first practice of organized team activities (OTAs) open to reporters. After the practice, head coach Kyle Shanahan was asked what, if anything, could be concluded from that. "It'll even out," Shanahan assured reporters. "We'll make sure to get that right." 49ers begin organized team activities

Twenty NFL teams begin organized team activities (OTAs) today, including the San Francisco 49ers. The Niners will hold workouts on the following dates. May 22-23 May 25 May 30-31 June 2 June 5-6 June 8 The 49ers started their offseason program on April 17. The first two weeks, or Phase One, were limited to meetings, strength and conditioning, and physical rehabilitation. Phase Two included on-field workouts with individual and group instruction and drills. No live contact or team drills were permitted.
