Trey Lance didn't exactly have a great stat line during Thursday's training camp session for the San Francisco 49ers, but head coach Kyle Shanahan says Lance was correct when he said Thursday's practice was better than Wednesday's despite multiple interceptions by the team's quarterbacks. Lance threw one of those interceptions and completed seven of 15 passes throughout the practice, while backups Nate Sudfeld and Brock Purdy threw three combined picks, according to 49ers beat reporter Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area. A punishment for Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson, whose legal issues continue, has been decided. The 26-year-old player has faced 24 civil lawsuits from women accusing him of sexual misconduct and sexual assault. Twenty have been settled. The off-field controversies started last year during his time with the Houston Texans. In March, the Cleveland Browns traded multiple first-round picks and more for the talented quarterback. Aside from the heated on-field interactions with one of the league's best linebackers, Aiyuk has impressed his defensive teammates during training camp. One defender went as far as

Following the 49ers' practice session on Thursday, quarterback Trey Lance spoke publicly for the first time since June while defensive coordinator DeMeco Ryans chatted with reporters about what he's seen so far from his side of the ball -- and from the quarterback his defense has been facing. Lance spoke on a number of topics, including what he thought of his first two days of training camp as the team's starter. Ryans offered his views of Lance, as well as what he's seen from some of the key players in the secondary and on the defensive line. Plus, there was an interesting Twitter quote Thursday from former 49ers cornerback Richard Sherman, who expects to see big things from his former defensive teammates this season.
