Heitmann injured: broken right tibia

Eric Heitmann was injured during the first quarter of the 49ers and Seahawks game. A Seahawk player landed on his leg and replays made the injury look pretty bad. A cast was put on Heitmann and he was carted off the field.

Update:

Heitmann suffered a broken right tibia and that will end his season. The tibia is the larger of the two bones in the leg below the knee.

The San Francisco 49ers have decided on the status of kicker Robbie Gould. The veteran special teams player is being placed on injured reserve, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Happy birthday, George Kittle. Unfortunately, it looks like you won't be on the football field for the next three games. Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports that the San Francisco 49ers are placing their All-Pro tight end on injured reserve.
