San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan jumped on a conference call with reporters on Friday afternoon, the day after the team's 30-12 win over the New York Giants. Shanahan provided several injury updates.
Linebackers Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles and Dre Greenlaw emerged from Thursday night's game with low-ankle sprains. Both are day-to-day. The good news is that players have some extra time off before returning to work on Monday, when the 49ers begin preparing for the Arizona Cardinals.

The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Week 3 contest against the New York Giants on Thursday at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California. The team did not practice on Monday. Players have the day off. However, the 49ers did release a report that revealed the status of players—had there been a practice.
There are a couple of situations to keep an eye on ahead of Thursday's game. Brandon Aiyuk is dealing with a shoulder injury that the wide receiver sustained on Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams. His Week 3 status remains unclear.

Wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk is still dealing with the shoulder injury sustained on his first catch against the Los Angeles Rams this past weekend. Cornerback Ambry Thomas is working through a knee injury. Both players were listed as limited participants on Tuesday.
