49ers sign three to practice squad

According to 49ers.com, the team signed the final three members of its eight-man practice squad.

The players that signed were DT Damane Duckett, LB Jeremy Mincey and WR Cory Rodgers.

Duckett (6-6, 300) originally signed with Carolina as a rookie free agent out of East Carolina in 2004. He spent part of his rookie season on the Carolina practice squad before joining the New York Giants 53-man roster. Last season he played in eight games as a reserve with the Giants. He was waived by the Giants on the final cutdown.

Mincey (6-3, 260) was originally a sixth-round draft pick by the New England Patriots out of Florida in 2006.

Rodgers (6-0, 186) was originally a fourth-round draft pick by the Green Bay Packers out of Texas Christian in 2006.

Before Wednesday's practice, Jordan Willis was not among the injuries head coach Kyle Shanahan mentioned. The defensive end is dealing with a knee injury, though. The San Francisco 49ers have promoted running back Marlon Mack from the practice squad to the active roster, per ESPN's Adam Schefter. The team has been without starter Elijah Mitchell since Week 1 when he suffered an MCL sprain. He is on injured reserve. The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Week 2 contest against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
