49ers sign Texans FB Moran Norris

According to 49ers.com, the San Francisco 49ers have signed Houston Texans fullback Moran Norris.

Entering his sixth season in the NFL, Norris has spent the past 4 seasons with the Texans. Norris was a fourth-round draft choice out of Kansas in 2001 and was selected by the New Orleans Saints. Last season, Norris played in all 16 games with five starts. He had one reception for four yards. He has only carried the football once in his career and has caught the ball 12 times for 57 yards.

Norris' contributions over his career have mainly come on special teams.
