Confirmed: 49ers will wear 60th Anniversary path on their jerseys

When Vernon Davis walked up on stage after being picked with the 6th overall selection in the 2006 NFL Draft, he was handed a 49ers jersey with the customary #1 on it.

That jersey had the 60th Anniversary patch on it. The 49ers wore a 50th Anniversary patch on their jerseys during the 1996 season.

49ers had to alter travel plans on their way to play Jets due to damage to their own jet

The San Francisco 49ers typically fly out of San Jose International Airport for road games and were set to do so for this two-game stint on the East Coast. Their plans changed, however, when the plane was found to be damaged, forcing the entire team to travel north and leave out of San Francisco International Airport, according to an on-air report by FOX. The 49ers plan to stay on the East Coast between their two games at MetLife Stadium. The team has a comfortable lead late in the fourth quarter against the New York Jets and will return to play the New York Giants in one week. Kyle Shanahan, 49ers fined after coach failed to wear face mask vs. Jets

Obviously, the NFL wants to make it clear that coaches and staff need to be wearing face coverings on sidelines during games to protect themselves and others from COVID-19. The league has fined several head coaches, including Kyle Shanahan of the San Francisco 49ers, $100,000 each for not wearing face coverings on Sunday, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. The NFL also fined each of their teams an additional $250,000. The other coaches who were fined are Pete Carroll of the Seattle Seahawks and Vic Fangio of the Denver Broncos. Alright, now the sky does feel like it's falling a bit. After the final whistle blew last week against the Jets, the 49ers hobbled to the locker room, heads spinning from the sheer volume of injuries that occurred to key players.
