As reported minutes ago, the power at Candlestick Park went out prior to kickoff of the San Francisco 49ers and Pittsburgh Steelers. Power has now been restored to the stadium and it has been confirmed that it was a power transformer near the stadium that exploded.
Kickoff should take place shortly.
According to ESPN, the national anthem should take place just around 5:55 pm.
