The San Francisco 49ers faced the challenge of playing two games within five days. However, their Thursday night victory over the Seattle Seahawks afforded them some much-needed extra time off.

On Monday, the team returned to the practice field for a bonus session. Three additional practices are scheduled for the week. The good news is that one key offensive contributor was present.

Running back Jordan Mason, who suffered an AC joint sprain during last week's win over the Seahawks, participated in Monday's practice, albeit wearing a blue no-contact jersey. This is a positive sign for Mason's potential availability on Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Additionally, the 49ers opened the practice window for wide receiver Ricky Pearsall, allowing the rookie to rejoin his teammates for the first time since he was shot in the chest during a robbery attempt on August 31.

Cornerback Charvarius Ward, who missed last week's game due to a knee injury, also participated in Monday's practice. Linebacker Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles, dealing with a calf injury, was likewise on the field.

However, several key players were absent during the portion of practice open to the media. It's important to note that visual observations are likely all we have for now, as the 49ers are not required to release a practice participation report until Wednesday.

Kicker Matthew Wright, who suffered a shoulder injury while making a tackle during a kickoff return, was not seen. Defensive tackle Jordan Elliott (knee) and safety Malik Mustapha (ankle) also did not practice but were observed rehabbing on the sidelines.

Kicker Jake Moody appears to be progressing in his recovery from a high ankle sprain. Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle reports that he was out of his walking boot and observed practice from the sideline.
