San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Ricky Pearsall recently signed his four-year rookie contract, becoming the last of the team's latest draft class to do so. The Niners concluded their offseason program earlier this month and will reconvene in Santa Clara for training camp next month. While veteran teammates will report on July 23, Pearsall and the other first-year players will report seven days earlier.
During this break, Pearsall is training with teammate Deebo Samuel. Both are reportedly working with strength and speed coach Nicholas Hill of Exos Sports.

In April, the 49ers made Pearsall the No. 31 overall draft pick. The rookie joins a talented receiver room that includes Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk, and Jauan Jennings. All three are officially signed through at least the upcoming season. However, Aiyuk seeks a contract extension and skipped the team's mandatory minicamp earlier this month. He hopes to avoid playing on a fifth-year option that is scheduled to pay him $14.124 million.
Pearsall has acclimated well to the team and showed promise during the offseason program.
"Just going back and watching Ricky, he's very fluid in and out of routes, and he's got really good hands," Samuel said of his rookie teammate.
While another teammate will reserve final judgment until contact is allowed in practice, his early impressions of Pearsall have been positive.
"He can obviously run fast, he can run really good routes, can catch the ball well," linebacker Fred Warner shared. "So we'll see what happens when we throw the pads on."
